Potpourri is a jar of mixed flower petals and spices used as perfume for many occasions. They comprise of petals of various flowers like lavender, tulips, freesia and marigolds for added beauty, colour and fragrance. The ingredients for these potpourris include dried citrus peel, seeds, bark and tin y pinecones etc. Such potpourris intended to add glory to the texture and character of the potpourri. A small, dried flower like a baby rosebuds enhance the depth and variety of size. The potpourris made only with petals tend to look like textured fabric. They can be stored in closed jars, which were opened when people used the room so that the perfume expand in the warm air and fill the room with fragrance. Nowadays, the potpourri is considered to be part of its charm and offered in a spectrum of containers, baskets, and decoupage boxes, ceramic or silver dishes.
