Detergents are formulated products used to remove dirt and stains from laundry, dishes, carpets, upholstery, floors and any other surface that needs cleaning. The chemicals used in detergents are surfactants, builders, inorganic salts, oxidizers or bleaches, enzymes and numerous miscellaneous ingred ients used in detergents.
