Bee wax is an abdominal secretion of bees. Its colour is dependent on the flowers gathered by the bees. It is commercially used to make fine candles, in polishing materials, as a component of modeling waxes, and in a variety of other products. Candles are often used for their aesthetic value but most often as a decorative object. They are widely used in churches because they burn cleanly, with little or no wax dripping sown the sides and little visible smoke. They are available in various colours, sizes and scents.
