Agricultural commodities include floriculture, fruits and vegetables, herbal or medicated plants, pulses, seeds, buds, tea and coffee, tobacco and products etc. Vegetables and fruits are mostly grown in the areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, hilly regions of North Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Tripura, West Bengal and Orissa. Fruits like almonds, cashew, coconut, and peanut, walnut are wide range dry fruits grown in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir. Herbs are used in Medicines, cosmetics etc grow in the soil and are thawed, cleaned and processed before being used in different preparations. In India herbs grow in the Himalayan regions. Aromatic and essential oils have wide suppliers from south India. Tobacco is produced in abundance in south Gujarat s Kheda region. Seeds include cocoa grown in Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore, Hassan, Tumkur, Chitradurga and Davangere and other vegetable seeds around the country. Milk Powder is largely manufactured in Gujarat and western Indian regions.India is the largest producer and consumer of tea in the world. Tea is grown in Upper Assam, West Bengal, in the South, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Coffee bean cultivation is largely confined to the hilly regions of the southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Coffee can be segmented as instant and filter coffee. Filter coffees further be segmented into pure and chicory blend coffee.
