Drilling machine is a single purpose machine for the production of holes. One of its types is the pillar drill machine, which is the larger version of the machine drill. These machines have a long column, which stands, on the floor. This drill is however free standing and is of a far heavier constru ction able to take larger drills. This can do exactly the same work as the bench drills but because of its larger size it is capable of being used to drill larger pieces of materials and produce larger holes.
